John Law is a niche European consulting firm, based in Paris.

Our role is a modest one. We do not seek to influence or guide our clients’ strategic decisions, but content ourselves with helping them successfully carry out the various initiatives that translate such choices at an operational level. It would be fair to say we have a marked preference for the real world (with its messy problems and historical baggage) over that of the ivory tower (home to the unsullied vision and the hypothesis-driven master plan).

Founded by individuals with a long experience in the world of big name consultancies, John Law’s modest size allows us to be driven not by volume, nor utilisation rates, but by ideas. We stand out against a market in which consulting services have become a banal commodity, all too often consumed without reflection and supplied without inspiration.

We like to think of ourselves as a conviction-driven consulting firm. We will not intervene unless our particular skills and capabilities are called for. When we have nothing intelligent to say, we hold our tongues. When we do, we speak frankly and forthrightly.

Our objective is to deliver in consistent fashion a distinctive service capable of justifying our relatively immodest fees.
